Curriculum

The FFS experience is one of joy-filled learning and development of strong character. Our students thrive within a culture of peace and community—one where the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship are the cornerstones of success.

Our progressive Pre-K through eighth grade program is designed for engaged, creative, and curious students. We emphasize critical thought, focusing on process as much as the end result. Students have ample opportunity to explore their interests, cultivate enduring relationships with teachers and peers, take risks, and thrive.

The unique learning atmosphere that results from project-based work, grounded in the study of global issues and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, strengthens students' skills in strategic thinking and problem solving and gives them a  feeling of social responsibility. Students are taught how to collaborate with others and to communicate effectively by asking questions, thinking critically, and listening carefully. Our students leave Frankford Friends School well-equipped for high school and beyond—prepared to let their lives speak in the pursuit of lifelong learning, a commitment to social justice, and service to their communities.
