Frankford Friends uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. Families with students in PreK through 8th grade are eligible to apply. Financial information from both responsible parents or guardians is required when filing for financial aid. All personal information is confidential. To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes 20 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, Clarity assesses a $60 fee per household to submit. Applying for tuition assistance is not difficult but this Quick Reference Guide and a more detailed Family Application Guide are available to guide you through the application.
New and Prospective Students Families new to Frankford Friends school should submit the tuition assistance application at the same time that the family applies for admission to the school. Current FFS families are given priority and new applications are prioritized in the order in which they are received. Though more than a third of our students receive some form of tuition assistance, the demand for tuition assistance can exceed the funds available.
Returning Students Tuition assistance applications are renewed annually. The deadline for priority applications is December 15th. Applications must be complete in order to qualify for review. Applications received after the deadline will be placed in the general pool. Award notices for returning families will accompany re-enrollment contracts in January.
