Chicken Coop
At Frankford Friends School, students raise and care for our beloved chickens as a way to practice stewardship, collaboration, and responsibility. They feed the chickens grain and water—sometimes offering a homegrown treat from the garden—track the number of eggs laid each day, clean and maintain the coop, and ensure the chickens get daily time outside for exercise. Fresh eggs are used in classroom baking projects, and every student in the FFS community has a turn to take some home.
