The FFS Class of 2032, was selected to enter the Philadelphia Zoo’s Albert M. Greenfield Foundation UNLESS Contest, and they won second place and a prize of $750! As recognized Junior Rangers, the first-graders took meaningful action for wildlife and the environment. Nearly 800 students from 37 classes participated this year, and our young environmental leaders stood out for their creativity, dedication, and impact.

Our first-graders studied ecosystems and investigated the effects of pollution, deforestation, climate change, and biodiversity loss. They created an informative brochure to raise awareness, inspired action within our school community by setting up and running a visitor center, and shared the brochure with seven different visitor centers and national parks around Philadelphia! Their project showcased a deep commitment to protecting ecosystems around the world.
With their passion for the planet and thoughtful, practical solutions, our Junior Rangers continue to set an inspiring example for people and the planet.
